westcoast wassum - these pieces celebrate the colours often seen in many west coast artworks.
they are about my love for the west coast. they were made with loving calm energy, thoughts of my hometown, growing up, going out on the boat with my dad, watching him drop crab traps, smelling fresh salty air, hearing eagles and ravens, eating delicious smoked fish, delicious huge steaks of halibut, smoked oolichans, quiet nights and bright stars.
i hope by bringing them home, if you are not Indigenous, they display your ally-ship and commitment to being a good relation to Indigenous folks.
they are made with beautiful miyuki beads, including 24k gold plated beads. these hang about 4 inches on gold plated nickel free hooks.
